  • Assistance dogs may not be brought to the establishment. 
  • There is a visually contrasting and tactile guidance strip from the entrance to the checkout and to the changing area.
  • All evaluated and usable areas for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The signage is designed in legible and high-contrast font.
  • There are glass doors without safety markings.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevators is confirmed audibly. The operating controls are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable. 
  • Stairs are not designed with visually contrasting edges. Handrails are provided on both sides.
  • The pool edges are visually contrasted.

  • There are eight marked parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  • The building is accessible without steps.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible at ground level or by elevator/lift.
  • The elevator car is 110 cm x 210 cm. The clear passage width of the elevator door is 90 cm.
  • The platform of the lifts is 100 cm x 146 cm. 
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide except for the doors to the saunas (at least 77 cm wide).
  • The cash desk is 92 cm high at the lowest point.
  • There are flat steps with handrails and a passenger lift for entering the swimming pools (outdoor and indoor pools as well as therapy pools) or an elevated pool edge at seat height above the pool perimeter (outdoor pool in the sauna area).

Changing rooms/sanitary facilities for people with disabilities

  • There are two sanitary rooms for people with disabilities, which can also be used as changing rooms. In one of the sanitary rooms the WC is accessible on the left, in the other on the right.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    at least 150 cm x 70 cm to the left or right of the WC; there is no manoeuvring space on the other side;
    in front of the WC and the washbasin and in front of/behind the door at least 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • There are grab rails on both sides of the WCs. At least the one on the side that can be approached can be folded up.
  • The washbasins are wheelchair compatible and the mirrors can be viewed while standing or sitting.
  • The showers, which can be accessed without steps, are 150 cm x 150 cm. A shower chair and grab rails are provided in each case.
  • An alarm is available in one of the rooms.

Public WC for people with disabilities in the sauna area (upper floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the WC 200 cm x 148 cm and in front of the washbasin 128 cm x 156 cm;
    to the left of the WC 100 cm x 70 cm; to the right there is no manoeuvring space.
  • There are grab rails on both sides of the WC, the left one can be folded up.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be viewed while standing or sitting.
  • The stepless walk-in shower measures 128 cm x 156 cm. A shower chair and grab rails are provided.
  • An alarm trigger is available.

Since 1974, mainly men and women addicted to alcohol and drugs have been treated there. Due to the extensive diagnostic, medical and psychotherapeutic services. Thanks to the extensive diagnostic, medical and psychotherapeutic services, individual rehabilitation planning and care can be ensured. Bad Bertricher Venenpfad®

Bad Bertricher Venenpfad® The Bad Bertricher Venenpfad®, the first in Europe, was created by a joint initiative of GesundLand Vulkaneifel GmbH, the Mosel-Eifel-Klinik - specialist clinic for venous diseases and the German Vein Academy (DVA). On an approx. 1000m long route, you will practice using the exercises at 8 information stations and you will train the leg muscles, stimulate the blood circulation in the legs and thus prevent varicose veins. Suggestion: Ask for a professionally trained vein trainer from the Mosel-Eifel-Klinik (contact: 0049-2674-940317)
