Herresbach

The Guardian Angel Chapel at Hauptstraße 8 in Herresbach was built in 1843 from local quarry stones called "Grauwacke" and is now a protected cultural monument. It is under the patronage of the holy guardian angels and the apostle Matthias.

Kapelle St. Hubertus in Acht

Today's St. Hubertus Chapel, built in 1826, is centrally located in the center of the community of Acht at the corner of Hauptstraße and Am Kirchweg. In recent years, the chapel has been lovingly restored as part of a large number of building measures and is now a neat eye-catcher in the middle of the village.

"Am Mayener Kreuzchen" Kapelle in Ettringen

The small, very well-kept chapel is located - coming from the direction of Mayen - directly at the entrance to the village of Ettringen on the left side. Since 1896, it has stood on the spot where a stone cross had stood since the earliest times - the Mayener Kreuzchen, as the people of Ettringen say.

Dr.- Heinrich-Menke-Park

Dr. Heinrich Menke-Park is located about 2 kilometers northwest of the municipality of Arft on the L10. The present nature reserve was named after Dr. Heinrich Menke, who worked hard for the preservation of the last juniper heaths in the Eastern Eifel.

Blumenrather Heide

The Blumenrather Heide lies east of the local community of Virneburg on a plateau. In 2006 and 2007, large-scale measures were carried out here as part of an extensive nature conservation project. The blackthorn and gorse hedges were removed, bushy areas cleared and numerous trees and shrubs felled. This has allowed fauna and flora typical of the heath to be established again in the past few decades.

Katholische Pfarrkirche Kreuzerhöhung (Dreifaltigkeitskirche) in Monreal

The Catholic Parish Church of the Elevation of the Cross in Monreal is located directly on the Elzbach and, as a 32-meter-long structure made of unplastered local quarry stone, is still a remarkable structural appearance today.

Hohe Acht mit Kaiser-Wilhelm-Turm

With 747 m it is the highest elevation of the Eifel ! The " Hohe Acht " is a tertiary volcano and last but not least because of the 16,30 m high " Kaiser-Wilhelm-Turmes " on its top since 1909 visible from afar.
