On the hike through the Mai- and Brandenbusch at experience point no. 6 there is another place of infamy!
The present-day field name "Beim Peinloch" alone suggests that this must have been a place of inflicting pain. A waterhole can be seen on the map of the area from 1810. This is said to have been used to test the innocence of witches and other candidates for death in the last instance in so-called divine judgements. Cruel stories about witchcraft and justice.
