New Connection Between Two MaarsBetween the Ulmener Maar and the Jungfernweiher, there is a several-hundred-year-old connecting tunnel that has been reopened to the public since April 2023 after many years. Recently, the project "Ulmener Maar Tunnel with the Ulmener Discovery Tour – a digital time journey in the Vulkaneifel" was awarded the Tourism Prize Rheinland-Pfalz 2024 in the category "Project of the Year" at the Tourism Day Rhineland-Palatinate. A cyclist bus from the public transport network can also be used to explore the surroundings. With direct access to the motorway (A48), you can quickly reach many nearby cities with numerous exciting destinations.
