WINES FROM RUREIFEL - "We want smiling faces and filled glasses"

"Grüne Neune" - this is Markus and Lisa Schäfer from Vlatten with the motto "A green thumb for the palate". Under this motto, they started to grow wine in Rureifel three years ago. Since patience is required in nature, especially when establishing a new vineyard, they could only expect a small harvest from their vines after three years. They immediately began the transition to organic viticulture. The conversion period is three years, and thus the first wines will be directly certified organic.

The "Wingert" of Grüne Neune is an old-rooted address in the wine landscape that they have revived after about 100 years of dormancy. The glacial soil with shell limestone has a particularly high mineral content, giving their wine a very special flavor note. The south-facing slope continuously pampers the vines with sunshine.
