Hubertus Kapelle - Stadtkyll/Niederkyll

Stadtkyll

The thick walls and rough forms give a primitive appearance to the late gothic catholic chapel dating from around 1500. The interior is articulated by a late gothic wooden pillar. The high altar (1775), a rectangular wooden pillar with an oil painting, the side altars with wooden figures and the choir wall with a cast iron cross date back to the 17th century. Numerous legends and stories surround the chapel. As a "proof", Roman coins found in the environment and especially a stone bust of man are listed as "a proof". They can be seen in the chapel.
