Dear guests, you will find our holiday apartment in the middle of the Eifel in the center of Nettersheim - directly on the Eifelsteig. It was badly affected by the flood in summer 2021, like many other houses in Urft, Erft and in the Ahr valley. In the two years that followed, it was painstakingly rebuilt with great attention to detail. Our holiday apartment "a Bäckesch 17" can accommodate up to 6 people and includes a fully furnished and equipped apartment including a washing machine, parking space and WiFi. We offer you a cozy vacation apartment for 2 adults and a baby in the hiking paradise of the Eifel National Park. The vacation apartment is just a few minutes' walk from the historic old town of Nideggen with its magnificent church and castle. From there you have a fantastic view over the Rur valley and deep into the Eifel. Not far away is the second largest reservoir in Germany, the Rursee. This invites you to linger both in summer and in winter. Numerous well-marked hiking and cycling routes lead through the first national park in NRW. We have made every effort to offer you a beautiful vacation apartment with the best possible facilities.

Wershofen is a picturesque village in the Eifel region with about 900 inhabitants at an altitude of around 500 meters. It offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and the impressive Aremberg mountain. In the village itself, you will find a self-service village shop with a small selection of groceries for daily needs. Peter Wohlleben's Forest Academy, with a small vegan café, invites you to linger. After an active day, you can indulge in regional specialties at the Landgasthaus Pfahl or the Kastenholz restaurant. The area is ideal for hikers, mountain bikers, and those seeking tranquility. In Wershofen itself, you will find circular trails described by the community and the Forest Rescuer Trail. The Eifel loops, Eifel tracks, Ahrsteig, and Red Wine Hiking Trail can be explored in close proximity. The Ahr cycle path for extensive cycling tours into the Ahr Valley is also quickly accessible. The Freillinger Lake can be reached in about 7 km. In addition to outdoor activities, motorsport fans can enjoy themselves at the Nürburgring. The City Outlet Bad Münstereifel, located 15 km away, invites for shopping. Thus, Wershofen offers a perfect blend of nature experiences and relaxation.

As the name suggests, we have been located in the famous Elz Valley, between the castles of Eltz and Pyrmont - in the slate country of Kaisersesch - since 1954. This puts us in a position to offer you unique leisure activities. The Wolf family is the second generation to run the inn. The restaurant has 4 double rooms and one single room (non-smoking rooms only). These are all equipped with shower/WC and hairdryer. The way to our restaurant leads over a spacious sun terrace with a view of the Elz valley and the fields of the Eifel heights. Throughout the year you will be spoiled with our rich food and drinks. Our kitchen offers dishes (hearty and hearty to fine) depending on the season specialties - not only from our Eifel region.
