Kurzroute 14 km | Fürstin-Margaretha-Weg (Wershofen-Eichenbach-Wershofen)
Wershofen
The route starts in Wershofen at the Dreisbachstraße/Südstraße junction and continues along Südstraße to the main road at Hotel Kastenholz, where you can visit a large game reserve. Here the trail crosses the L74 via Kottenbornerstraße to the Kottenborn chapel. From here we have a fantastic view of the striking Aremberg. A seating area invites you to have a picnic. Past the chapel, the hiking trail leads downhill across meadows through the forest towards Laufenbacher Hof. At the bottom, the route crosses the L73 and the Dreisbach until just before the tunnel. From here, we turn right uphill and can see the village of Fuchshofen on the left. The path continues to the meadows of Eichenbach. On the right we can see Wershofen and Ohlenhard, after a few hundred meters we reach a beautiful open hiker's hut. There are information boards on which the native animals of the region can be seen. After approx. 400 m, we reach the 14-Nothelfer chapel and can already see Eichenbach.
At the fork, we take the short route towards Wershofen to reach the starting point again after approx. 3 km.
