Mountainbike-Park Hürtgenwald

Hürtgenwald

The Hürtgenwakd Mountain Bike Park offers five lines for the ultimate in riding fun. From ambitious hobby riders to professionals, there is something for everyone. The route is almost 5 km long and goes steeply downhill from the starting point at Franziskus-Gymnasium in Vossenack to Simonskall. Belgian World Cup pro Nico Vink, together with amateur champion Kristof Lenssens and Fumra Camp Ramps, has created a paradise for bikers. The two strongly natural downhill tracks benefit from the unique terrain conditions in the Hürtgenwald. They are framed by a flow trail and a freeride that has been combined with a jump line in the upper section. After the downhill tour, bikes are safely and quickly taken back uphill by bus shuttle for the next round. Opened in 2015, the mountain bike park is run by the association Nordeifel Gravity e.V. and is already considered an insider tip in Germany by insiders. The park is open from April to October on weekends, public holidays and bridge days. Parking is available on the K 36 (Simonskaller Straße), which leads from Vossenack to Simonskall.
