The castle ruin and fortified settlement of Kronenburg

Kronenburg Castle was one of the characteristic medieval hill-castles of the Eifel built on the spur of a ridge in the Upper Kyll Valley. The self-contained
impression of the castle ruin, outer bailey and fortified settlement and their adaptation to the topography make the special charm of this site. Kronenburg
was first mentioned in a charter of the Abbey Stablo Malmedy in 1277. Today the locality is a touristic attraction in the Upper Kyll Valley.

LVR-Industriemuseum / Tuchfabrik Müller

It is a journey back in time to the world of the cloth industry. In 1961, factory owner Kurt Müller closed the doors of his cloth factory in the Eifel, hoping to reopen it soon. This did not come true, but today visitors can take a unique tour of a factory where robust woollen fabrics and loden cloth were produced for many years. They are immersed in the world of dyeing and weaving and experience how some of the machines are brought back to life during a guided tour and how people used to work here.

Dauerausstellung „Bestimmung Herrenmensch“ - NS-Dokumentation Vogelsang

The former NS-Ordensburg Vogelsang in today's Eifel National Park is one of the largest buildings of National Socialism and was a place of human contempt at that time. Today Vogelsang “Internationaler Platz” is a place that stands for tolerance, diversity and peaceful coexistence. But it is also a place of remembrance culture. The permanent exhibition “Purpose: Master Man. NS-Ordensburgen between fascination and crime ”gives an insight into the life at the NS-Ordensburg at that time.
