Josendrees

Josendrees

Daun

The “Josenbach” stream gives its name to this "Drees" on the outskirts of Daun. Right next door, a tasty water has been bubbling out of the earth since time immemorial. Now the "Drees" has been collected and the magnesium-calcium-hydrogen carbonate "Säuerling" (acidulous water) jolts out. The water, which is about 9 degrees cold, contains iron and refreshes hikers on the"Drees" hiking trail.

The "Josendrees" is easy to reach, yet it is less known and visited than the "Hotzendrees".

The brochure "Dreese - Mineralwasser- und Kohlensäurequellen der Vulkaneifel ", available at our GesundLand tourist information offices and at the Vulkaneifel Nature and UNESCO Global Geopark will show you the way - here
