    The "Alte Uhrmacherei", a listed half-timbered house, was first mentioned in a document in 1489 and was further extended at the end of the 18th century. We have renovated the house from the ground up and extensively modernised it while preserving the original character of a half-timbered house. The three holiday flats that have been created are charming and stylishly furnished, each with its own individual touch. The house is located below Hengebach Castle, centrally in the village centre and right next to the art academy of the town of Heimbach. The national park town of Heimbach, the smallest town in North Rhine-Westphalia, is a recognised climatic health resort in the beautiful Eifel region with around 4,600 inhabitants. Heimbach is located directly on the Schwammenauel Rurtalsperre reservoir. As a place of excursions and recreation, Heimbach offers a number of historical sights, such as Hengebach Castle, Mariawald Abbey or the industrial museum in the Art Nouveau hydroelectric power station dating from 1904. Once a year, a week-long chamber music festival with musicians from over 40 nations takes place here.
