On 14 December 2024 at 16:00, music lovers can look forward to a festive concert in a class of its own in the Kursaal in Bad Bertrich. Under the musical direction of Peter Orloff, the renowned Black Sea Cossack Choir will present an impressive repertoire under the motto "From Kiev to St. Petersburg". The line-up promises an extraordinary sound experience with highly decorated Ukrainian and Russian singers of world-class calibre. A special highlight is the male soprano from the Kiev Opera, who will offer the audience a world rarity. The composition of the choir not only reflects musical brilliance, but also sends out a strong signal of hope and unity, comparable to Daniel Barenboim's orchestra, which unites Israelis and Palestinians. Peter Orloff, who, as the youngest singer of all the Cossack choirs in the world, once founded his legendary career together with Ivan Rebroff in the Black Sea Cossack Choir, is celebrating his 65th anniversary on stage this year. He has led the ensemble from success to success for 30 years.

The concert promises a musical journey from Kiev to St. Petersburg, presented by one of the most outstanding Cossack ensembles of our time. The audience can look forward to an emotional rollercoaster ride from deep melancholy to exuberant temperament. The repertoire includes works such as the "Prisoners' Chorus", "Swan Lake", "Leise flehen meine Lieder" and the parade solo of all great tenors, "Nessun dorma". At the heart of the concert are the most beautiful treasures from the rich treasure trove of Russian and Ukrainian music literature, including the famous "Evening Bells", "The Twelve Thieves", "I Pray to the Power of Love", "Stenka Rasin", "The Lonely Little Bell", "Kalinka" and, by popular demand, "The Volga Song".
