Feuerberge der Eifel - „Der Arensberg“
Jul 15, 2025

In addition to an interactive introduction to volcanology and rock science for budding volcanologists, in this workshop we dedicate ourselves to individual accessible volcanoes and what they offer and can be seen in them. We will look for interesting stones and minerals, learn about their differences in colour, hardness and other properties and then know, for example, whether they are of volcanic origin. Sturdy shoes and (weather) appropriate clothing are recommended. Photo equipment, magnifying glass, container for rock samples are useful. Price: per participant 8,00 €, per family with children 20,00 €, Info/registration required by 4pm the day before: Alfred Graff, mobile 0172 2661284, email: vulkan-ag@arcor.de
