Big funfair hype with live music, Ferris wheel, fireworks and markets from July 26 - July 29, 2024

The fairgrounds on the Kyll in Gerolstein will once again become a funfair venue on the last weekend in July. From Friday, July 26 to Monday, July 29, the funfair will provide entertainment every day until the evening hours. Fairground The funfair rides will once again be set up on the two large fairgrounds on the Kyll and on the former post office parking lot. There, many attractions bring that special fairground flair to Gerolstein. There is something for every taste. In addition to the Break Dance, Auto Skooter and Scheibenwischer rides, funfair visitors can once again look forward to classics such as the "Kinderschleife" with its colorful Disney-style design, the "Schatzinsel" children's carousel and numerous skill booths. Of course, roasted almonds, chocolate fruits, crêpes and churros sweeten the fairground experience and those who prefer a hearty meal can enjoy currywurst fries, Pizza and spit roasts. An absolute highlight this year will once again be the Ferris wheel, which offers great views over Gerolstein and the fairground.

Opening of the fair: The fair will open on Friday, July 26, at 7:30 p.m. with the traditional barrel tapping by town mayor Uwe Schneider with a firecracker shot by the town soldiers and free beer served (while stocks last).

Live music stage and beer garden on the Kyll:
After a funfair stroll, a music stage with beer garden and a large live music program in front of the train station invite you to visit. The bands playing there include "Timless livemusik" (Friday evening), "KolonneSorgenlos" (Saturday evening), Densborner Kylltal Musikanten (Sunday afternoon) and "Klangbild" (Monday evening). Guests can look forward to atmospheric evenings of music. The beer garden overlooking the Kyll with a view of the Munterley rock invites you to sit and chat.

Markets:
Another focal point is the markets on Brunnenplatz with the family flea market on Saturday and the flea market on Sunday.

Family Monday
On Monday, there will once again be discounts for families at some of the fairground stalls and rides.

Closing of the fair
Once again this year, the traditional fireworks display will take place on Monday, 29.07.2024 at 22:15 on the Dolomite cliffs!
