Tour de Ahrtal on June 15, 2025

The popular cycling event "Tour de Ahrtal" is back in motion. This year, the highlight of the closed roads can again be fully enjoyed from Blankenheim to Dümpelfeld. From Blankenheim, the B258 will be closed up to Müsch, and further along, the L73 will be closed to Dümpelfeld. After that, participants can switch to the Ahr cycle path, which is navigable up to Ahrbrück. The action point in Ahrbrück will mark the end of the route this year.
Additionally, from Ahrdorf, the Kalkeifel cycle path towards Hillesheim can be explored, where an action point awaits visitors at the Ahütte museum train station

Action points along the route between Blankenheim, Hillesheim, Müsch, and Ahrbrück invite breaks between 10 AM and 5 PM, offering refreshments, entertainment, interactive activities, breakdown services, and much more. At all points of call, starting cards for the raffle are also available, which allow participants to collect various stamps along the route.

The organizers, businesses, clubs, and community associations look forward to welcoming many visitors.

In addition to an interactive introduction to volcanology and rock science for budding volcanologists, in this workshop we dedicate ourselves to individual accessible volcanoes and what they offer and can be seen in them. We will look for interesting stones and minerals, learn about their differences in colour, hardness and other properties and then know, for example, whether they are of volcanic origin. Sturdy shoes and (weather) appropriate clothing are recommended. Photo equipment, magnifying glass, container for rock samples are useful. Price: per participant 8,00 €, per family with children 20,00 €, Info/registration required by 4pm the day before: Alfred Graff, mobile 0172 2661284, email: vulkan-ag@arcor.de
