Historical tour of the town Manderscheid, with Count Dietrich III of Manderscheid.

Count Dietrich III will take you on a tour of the historical sites of Manderscheid and take you back to the world of the Middle Ages.

Who was this Dietrich anyway? He lived from 1423 to 1498 and ruled as an imperial count from 1457 to 1488. During his reign, he considerably increased his sphere of influence through acquisitions and a clever inheritance policy. Thus, from 1468, he could call himself Dietrich III Count of Manderscheid and Blankenheim, Lord of Schleiden and Jünkerath.

Be there on Wednesdays when the count parades through his Manderscheid!
