Gerolstein "Verzeelschestour
Little poems and stories on the Gerolsteiner Celtic Trail
Do you know the Gerolsteiner Land? The elements of fire and water created this unique landscape and for a very long time people have filled it with life, leaving many traces. Numerous wayside crosses and chapels, signs of the strong faith of our ancestors, bear witness to this and tell stories of blue-blooded counts, merciless judges and aldermen, brazen highwaymen, God-fearing farmers and unruly citizens. Join us on a truly legendary tour to the highlight of our Mußepfad, the Dietzenley, which towers above all other mountains in the Gerolsteiner Land and is crowned by a lookout tower. This panoramic view gives us an idea of why the Celts chose this place as a refuge and thus gave our path its name. True to the motto "et jit net jerannt" we filled our backpacks with plenty of time (3-4 hours for about 6km and 150 meters of altitude) as well as entertaining stories and poems. Backpack catering, no refreshments possible on the way.
