Climbing course for advanced climbers
Sep 27, 2024 - Oct 25, 2024
Manderscheid
Have you already climbed easy via ferrata routes in categories A-B and would like to improve your skills? If you are interested in conquering via ferrata routes of difficulty C-D at the castles in Manderscheid or later in alpine terrain, then our "AUFsteiger" via ferrata course is just right for you. Our guides will train you in the technique of effortless climbing and how to tackle slightly overhanging passages safely. We will climb the "Lieser" section and prepare for the highlight of the suspension bridge (Niederburg section) with the subsequent D section.
Dates: every first Saturday of a month 2024
Procedure:
A short introduction and briefing will take place at the GesundLand Tourist Information Centre in Manderscheid. Together we hike to the start of the "Lieser" stage at Achtergraben in approx. 20 minutes. The route alternates between rugged rock formations and short hiking passages through the Lieser valley - always with a direct view of the gently rushing stream. After climbing part of the most challenging stage "Niederburg", we reach another highlight of the tour. With a length of 60 metres and a height of 20 metres, the castle bridge is just the thing for adrenaline junkies.
