Directions:
Walk down Bahnhofstraße, turn right at the traffic circle into "Alte Chaussee" and then left into Kirchstraße to the church. Walk down Kirchstraße and turn right at the "Rathaus Café" into Hochstraße. Past the Römerbrunnen fountain and cellar, the path leads onto Große Gasse, where you will see the Alte Propstei. It was built at the beginning of the 18th century and bears witness to the close connection between the village of Kruft and the Maria Laach monastery. Keep left there and at the next fork and turn into Sandgasse. Cross Bachstraße and follow Burgasse up to the left until you reach the Wingertsberg chapel, where you keep right and follow Ochtendunger Straße out of the village. At the end of the village there is another beautiful little chapel. Continue along the road and turn right into the field path at the refuge. At the next fork in the road, turn right and follow the path along the "Laacher Graben" stream until you reach a junction of several paths. Take a sharp right turn there and follow the path past the Margarethenhof farm back towards Kruft. After a few hundred meters, keep right and take the paved path past the waterworks. At the waterworks, follow the road to the left until you reach Ochtendunger Straße again.From there, take the same route back to the church: along Ochtendunger Straße, right into Burgasse, left into Sandstraße, left into Grosse Gasse and then right into Hochstraße to the church.
The route is suitable for baby carriages.

Church of St. DionysiusThe original chapel dates back to 1722. The transept and west tower were built in 1841 according to the plans of the royal Prussian building inspector Lassaulx (1781-1848). In 1913, the church was rebuilt by the Trier architect P. Marx.
Roman fountain & cellar: The Romans settled in the Pellenz around 2,000 years ago. Numerous traces of the Roman settlement are still visible today.
