Stream Trail
Bleialf
The Stream Trail (“Bach-Pfad”) does full justice to its name. The route is accompanied by the merry burbling of four streams, each of which is very different in nature. Following old mining paths along the Alfbach stream, the history of the sweet holiday town of Bleialf comes alive. Here, lead ore was mined until the mid-20th century. From Halenfeld, the route runs along grassy paths and along the Donsbach stream. After a brief hilly stretch with a magnificent view into the distance, the journey continues to the next stream: the Ihrenbach. Here, evidence can be found of beavers’ busy dam-building. There are many ponds, where blue and green shimmering dragonflies hunt for food. The route continues over the open hill ridge. The rich green of the meadows and fields is dotted with roaming sheep. The crowning highlight of this varied tour is a peaceful spot to rest next to the romantic pond near Richelsberg.
