Guided hike on March 21, 2026  -  "City forest shows the future".


On Forest Day, the city of Wittlich invites you to a hike "City Forest Shows Future" on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The meeting point is the sports field in Neuerburg. Forest manager Mario Sprünker will guide you through the city forest for about 1.5 hours and present a reforestation project. Under the motto "(No) Beautiful Forest in These Times," he will explain how the forest responds to climate change and changing environmental conditions and how the future of the forest can be actively shaped.
