Children and young people in the region from 1918 to 1945 The special exhibition focuses on young people's lives in the region during the transition between the Weimar Republic and the National Socialist dictatorship.

From the point of view of the National Socialists, young people in particular had to be completely re-educated in order to create the National Socialist "people's community" and secure the regime's power in the long term.

• How did the everyday school life of children and young people change compared to the Weimar Republic?

The special exhibition deals with these and many other questions using numerous documents, pictures and objects from the region around Schleiden, Monschau and Euskirchen as examples.
