Singen als Gebet

Saint Augustine says “Cantare amantis est” (Singing belongs to the one who loves) and “He who sings prays twice.” Singing is the daily practice of the Benedictine monks. Saint Benedict reminds us that we stand “in the presence of the angels” when we sing.

This course is for everyone who enjoys singing (not just for those who believe they can sing perfectly).
How can we improve our prayer by fully using our voice? How can we express ourselves through singing so that “our spirit is in harmony with our voice,” as St. Benedict says? Psalm singing, Gregorian chant, and other church music are to accompany us on our journey to God.
