Awarded the "Newcomer Jazz Prize of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate" for the first time in 2024, bandleader and saxophonist Paul Scheugenpflug creates a balance with his compositions between catchy melodies and energetic jazz improvisation.


Concert

The focus is on a diverse and groove-based jazz program with influences from fusion, hip-hop, and pop. With the gained attention from winning the Jazz undesigned Award from the Dörken Foundation in 2025, the Newcomer Jazz Award, the Biberach Jazz Award in 2024, and the Frankfurter Jazz Scholarship received in 2023 with the jazz collective "FÄZZ," Scheugenpflug recorded and produced his debut album in 2025. (Release on February 27, 2026)
