Where once in the Middle Ages areas were cleared and used as hay meadows, today hikers can dive into a golden sea of daffodils in spring. But this has not always been the case. With great effort, many valleys of the Eifel have been restored to their original condition in a Belgian-German cooperative action with the support of forestry offices, nature conservation organizations, and also authorities. In this three to four-hour hike, Ralf Evertz will take you into the beauty of the Fuhrtsbach Valley. Here, you will have the opportunity to get to know many other plants in addition to daffodils.

The excursion takes place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
The meeting point is the Perlenbach Mill, Mühlenweg, D 52156 Höfen/Monschau.
Sturdy footwear is recommended.
