“What? Arrivederci?! Yes! Arrivederci! At some point, it has to come to an end! Well, one last time, let’s take a look around at what has happened in these 60 years that I’ve been here in the Rhineland, 47 of which on stage. Let’s bring the Kölsch fundamental law to life once more, for your final amusement. For each paragraph and the preamble, I will provide examples, justifications, stories, and a song or two, so that even those not from the Rhineland have a chance to understand what a special universe the Rhineland is. That is the least I owe to the Rhineland. But then it’s enough. I have other things to do than to make you laugh; at the moment, there are 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons, who knows what else will come… Besides, I’m no Johannes Heesters; I’m just a normal border crosser between Italy, South Tyrol, and the Rhineland universe. And because it’s said in the Rhineland: “You never really leave,” we will surely meet here and there again, who knows.
