A special concert experience in the parish church of St. John the Baptist in Waxweiler

A special concert experience invites the Catholic Adult Education (KEB) of the Westeifel parish St. Willibrord on Friday, May 8, at 6 PM, to the parish church St. Johannes der Täufer in Waxweiler.

At the center is the impressive Sebald organ, which together with the flute unfolds a varied and colorful program.

The program features works by renowned composers such as Gabriel Pierné, Claude Bolling, Gary Schocker, Otar Taktakishvili, and John Rutter. The concert is complemented by selected organ pieces that spectacularly highlight the sonic diversity and expressiveness of the instrument. With Roger Goodwyn (organ) and Christiane Dennemeyer (flute), two experienced, internationally active artists create an exciting dialogue between the two instruments through their finely tuned interplay. The audience can look forward to a musical journey that combines classical elegance with folkloric influences and jazzy elements.
