Family Adventure in Wittlich - Production of Natural Charcoal

Together with nature and landscape guide Monika Schmitz, families can expect a special experience in nature.
From fresh wood, we will manufacture our own charcoal step by step: First, the bark is removed, and then the wood is transformed into charcoal in the fire. Both young and old can observe how a natural material becomes a real artist's tool.
Then it gets creative: In the outdoor studio, children and adults can directly try out the charcoal they made themselves and create their own small works of art. An exciting hands-on offering for children and families, where discovery, wonder, and creative experimentation are at the forefront.

The nature adventure is aimed at children aged 6 and above and warmly invites accompanying adults to participate as well. Together, young and old will explore nature in an exciting and varied way. Adults benefit from a reduced participation fee and experience the program as entertaining and enriching as the younger participants.

Please wear clothing suitable for the weather. The event takes place outdoors in any weather; weather-appropriate clothing is recommended. For registrations without an accompanying person, a reachable phone number during the event is required.

Meeting point: Waldhaus L52 above Maria Grünewald, turn right into the forest; a few parking spots are available. Alternatively, parking is also possible across the street. Please be cautious of traffic when crossing L52!!!
