A LITTLE BIT ABOUT DUPPACH AND THE SURROUNDING AREA

Duppach is a typical Eifel village, with a church, a pub, surrounded by fields, forests and streams. More information can be found here.

The nearby hill top 'Heilert' offers vast views across the entire area. There are plenty of opportunities for short and long walks and tracks, some of which are branded and sign-posted.

A nearby (2 km) archeological site from roman times showcases a roman style house and small information centre.

The smallest maar (volcanic lake) of the region, the Eichholzmaar, is situated close to the village.

Our village has its own mineral water spring, free to access by anyone who would like a refreshing drink or fill up their water bottles.

The famous "Adenauervilla" by the late German chancellor Konrad Adenauer can be viewed on a walk through the forest.

It is worth exploring nearby destinations beyond Duppach too, e.g. the Adler- und Wolfspark in Pelm, the Eifel zoo in Lüneback, Dreimühlen waterfall, many vulcanic hills and maars, castles and castle ruins, the Nürburgring and much more.

The region is a great for cycling of various kinds. Long distance road biking, mountain biking through the forests and fields, and cycling along dedicated cycleways on repurposed railway lines.

We are more than happy to provide you with more information on these various activities and attractions and look forward to answering any further questions you may have.
