Ever since his apprenticeship as a telecommunication handyman in the early fifties of the last century, the founder of this museum, Heribert Schirmer, has collected more than 450 telephones from 15 nations, as well as 200 radio an phono equipments. Starting with a replica of Graham Bell's original telephone apparatus through to contemporary ISDN technology the visitor may observe telecommunication technology from the last 75 years.
