Starting in the tranquil Hocheifel town of Hoffeld, the well-signposted route touches the Ahr valley on a short descent in Müsch, only to lead a little later, first gently, then more demandingly along the Trierbach stream to the high-altitude town of Nürburg. Here it is worth visiting the ruins of Nürburg Castle, which is clearly visible from afar and is enthroned on a volcanic hilltop. A detour to the legendary Nürburgring gives you the chance to get a taste of racing.

The short break downhill to Müllenbach quickly leads back into the characteristic ups and downs of the charming Hocheifel landscape, to just behind Nohn with a very special scenic highlight, the | Dreimühlen Waterfall. to surprise. The hot feet are briefly cooled in the fresh water and it goes steadily downhill and uphill through beautiful forest and meadow landscapes, past the Hoffeld basalt lake and finally back to the starting point in Hoffeld.
