At Echtz Bathing Lake, you can try your hand at all kinds of water sports, including sailing, boating, fishing and diving (www.duerener-unterwasserclub.de). Originally a quarry lake, Echtz Bathing Lake is ideal for a swim and it even has a partially shaded sandy area beside it. There is a separate swimming area for children along with play equipment in the water for climbing, sliding and jumping galore. You can also pay a visit to the sunbathing areas, snack counter and terrace bar and even stay at the nearby campsite.
