Through large areas covered with juniper trees and around the “Kalvarienberg”, or cavalry hill, near Blankenheim, the trail continues towards Hillesheim - home of the Eifel crime thriller.
An absolute highlight of the tour is the continuously growing Dreimühlen waterfall near Nohn, a natural spectacle of a very special kind. The trail continues through the wonderful Kyll valley and over the top of the Rother Kopf, and ends in the natural spring town of Gerolstein, which is known around the world for its “Gerolsteiner Sprudel” sparkling water.
