Natural and clear applies to the water that has its origins in the Eifel. A 75 km long circular route offers repeated encounters with the element of water. The route leads to well-known springs such as the "Grüner Pütz" in Nettersheim, the starting point of the former Roman water pipeline. Blankenheim, where the Ahr rises in the vaulted cellar of a half-timbered house, and the source of the Urft near Dahlem-Schmidtheim are also on the route.

In 2025, the Eifelsteig hiking bus will still be in operation in 2025, providing a convenient and environmentally friendly connection to the Eifelsteig & its partner trails
