The round hike lasts a total of four days. We will reserve rooms for you in the accommodation establishments. They will take care of your luggage transport to the next day's destination.

This programme is offered all year round. Arrival is possible every day of the week, including Sundays and public holidays. Extension days are of course possible!

No dogs allowed!

During the main holiday periods, we may have to find alternative accommodation in private guesthouses, some of which may be in holiday flats. If accommodation in the above-mentioned houses is not possible, we reserve the right to reserve an equivalent room.

The accommodation establishments mentioned will transport your luggage to your next destination of the day by approx. 16.00 hrs in each case.

        The historic Birgel watermill is a unique mill experience centre and the largest in Europe. The four mills are still in operation today: mustard mill, grain mill, oil mill and sawmill.

    2. Day 2: Hike Birgel - Kronenburg (approx. 20 km)

      After breakfast, you hike along regional hiking trails from Birgel to Kronenburg.

      Overnight stay in Kronenburg.

    3. Day 3: Hike Kronenburg - Steffeln (approx. 22 km)

      After breakfast, the hike leads past Lake Kronenburg in the direction of Hallschlag. The route leads via Ormont and Schönfeld to the volcanic village of Steffeln.

      Dinner and overnight stay in Steffeln.

    4. Day 4: Hike Steffeln - Birgel (approx. 19 km)

      After breakfast, the last hiking stage takes you from Steffeln to the district of Auel and then to Basberg. Continue through Lissendorf to reach the starting point in Birgel.

      This is where the hiking tour ends*. Departure from Birgel.
