Maya Likembe is the ensemble led by the Luxembourgish singer and composer Mary-Ann Meiers.


Concert

Rooted in the traditions of jazz, their music and vocals are also influenced by Latin American, African, and soul sounds. The project has flourished through collaboration with musicians from various cultural backgrounds. They made their debut with the single "Ardent Traveler," which was recorded in Luxembourg and the USA. Additionally, they have released three live tracks and an interview from a Rocklabs session at the Rockhal in Belval. Their latest release is their EP "Spirituality is the Beginning," which was recorded at Tritone Studios and accompanied by a release concert as part of the Pause Jazz concert series at the Abbey Neimënster.

Event as part of the partnership between the associations Bluebird Music ASBL and Jazzinitiative Eifel e. V. regarding the mobility of music ensembles between Luxembourg and Rhineland-Palatinate.
