The high ceilings and the open design offer a very special and cozy flair.

The house, furnished in an upscale style, is equipped with a bedroom for 4 people (2 double beds / 180x200).

One bed can be reached via a staircase to the gallery of the room.

The lower area of the bedroom is equipped with an additional TV.

The bedroom has a direct connection to the terrace and offers a view of the garden.

The adjoining bathroom including a barrier-free shower, double sink and a toilet is directly accessible from the bedroom.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a cooking island, a dishwasher, induction stove and XXL oven, side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker, freezer and a capsule coffee machine.

From the living area you have a direct view of the garden. Outside you will find a spacious terrace with an adjoining garden area.

The terrace is equipped with a comfortable lounge, parasoland a sun bed.

With 2 people, the house can be used entirely as a ground floor apartment (not barrier-free).

Parking spaces are available directly in front of the house.

WiFi use is free of charge.

    Our house is located in a higher part of Adenau, so that you have a enchanting view of the Eifel town, but can still reach the city centre with shopping facilities and restaurants on foot. The guest room can be reached through its own entrance. There is plenty of parking. Our house is a non-smoking house. For smokers, there is a possibility outside in front of the door.

    Description HausAcht incl. KleinHausAcht (both units) The HausAcht (cosy guesthouse from the 60s) has been serving as a modern conference and leisure centre for almost 20 years. In 2016, the KleinHausAcht was added as a barrier-free extension. As a group house, up to 35 guests can use the house in various ways. Under the slogan "A whole house to live in", the house is available for children and youth groups, " large families " and working groups, hiking groups, motorcycle groups and company trips. The HausAcht is only rented to one group at a time, who can use all rooms on their own. The large kitchen (optionally for self-sufficiency) 4 lounges (incl. rustic taproom) offer plenty of room for creativity. 11 bedrooms (almost all with shower and WC) for 31 guests offer a pleasant privacy. The group house can accommodate up to 31 people. As from 32 persons, the KleinHausAcht (extension) is automatically rented. On request, a smaller group can also be divided into a group house and a KleinHausAcht (extension). You can discuss this with your host. The low barrier KleinHausAcht can be rented integratively. This extension on the level of the HausAcht recreation rooms offers 2 additional bedrooms for 4 guests, an entrance hall with kitchenette and a large bathroom with barrier-free equipment. Up to 3 wheelchair users can get along here. More details under the descriptions „HausAcht – Group House“ and „KleinHausAcht – Extension / Apartment“ Furthermore, the house has a laundry room, sufficient storage cellar and 10 car parking spaces, which also offer space for a coach.     <p>Built in 1683 by Thurn und Taxis, the Posthalterhof has been renovated with great attention to detail and offers an exceptional ambience within old walls. Antique furniture and modern furnishings in the bedrooms, the newly renovated bathrooms and fully equipped, open kitchens are stylishly combined. In addition, wifi, flat-screen TVs with Netflix &amp; Prime and Alexa are available in the dining or living rooms.</p> <p>In addition to the ground floor (monument), which can be rented for up to 8 people, the top floor (castle maisonette) offers space for up to 6 people. On the first floor is the Ahrquelle apartment, which is ideal for 2 people. The Georgstor apartment on the first floor is designed for up to 3 people. Dogs are welcome.</p> <p>Guests on the ground floor have their own terrace with a large table and barbecue. Guests on the top floor have access to the garden on the first floor with a terrace and a large table with barbecue. Guests staying in the Ahrquelle&nbsp;apartment can also use the terrace in the garden. The wonderful view of Blankenheim Castle is included.</p><p>In December 2021 we opened our new sauna area for all guests of the Posthalterhof. In our large garden there is a 500-year-old vaulted cellar embedded in the rock. Here our guests can relax in the sauna and whirlpool in an extraordinary atmosphere - for up to 6 people. And in the sheltered outdoor area in the covered lounge corner, listen to music with a warming flame and enjoy the magnificent view of Blankenheim Castle.</p> <p>2 private parking spaces are located directly next to the Posthalterhof for guests. There are 3 more private parking spaces above the garden area. Bicycles and motorbikes can also be safely parked.</p> <p>Other important notes:<br>There are a few stairs within the ground floor. The flat Ahrquelle is on the first floor and can be reached via the stairs in the house or those from the courtyard. The Burg Maisonette flat is on the 2nd floor. Due to its character and construction, our house is not suitable for children under 3 years of age.</p> <p>Directly opposite you can get fresh rolls and bread as well as cakes at the bakery. The butcher's shop Engel with Eifel quality is about 200m away and offers meat and sausages from farms of the Eifel in own production. Pharmacy, 2 banks, flower shop and book shop are also located in the village next to Patina Antiques. Supermarket, discounter and drugstore can be reached in 2 minutes by car. Excellent food is available in the local brasserie, which is 1 minute's walk from the Posthalterhof.</p> <p>The Nürburgring is 30.5 km away. The City Outlet Centre and historic Bad Münstereifel is about 20 km away, as is the picturesque Burgdorf Kronenburg. Lake Kronenburg is also worth the 20-minute drive. Lake Freilingen, which is suitable for swimming, is only 15 minutes away by car. The Cologne trade fair is 75 km away, but the journey time is less than 1 hour due to the good transport connections.</p>
