• Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas/rooms.
• The entrance is visually rich in contrast, but not recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
• Almost all evaluated and usable areas for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free. Exceptions: mine adit, stairs.
• There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators available.
• The mine adit on level -3 is not always high enough to stand upright. Helmets are available.

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities".

• In the parking garage "Burggarage" there is a marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 330 cm x 550 cm) and two XXL parking spaces (parking space size: 530 cm x 550 cm).
• The elevator cabin in the parking garage "Burggarage" measures 110 cm x 140 cm. The elevator door is 77 cm wide.
• The path to the museum is not easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 7 % over a distance of 70 m .
• The museum is accessible via a step or a landing ramp. The ramp has a maximum gradient of 8 % and a total length of 1 m.
• Almost all evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible at ground level or via an elevator. Exception: The Oberburg viewing platform and parts of the mine adit on level -3 are only accessible via steps.
• The elevator cabin measures 145 cm x 160 cm.
• All evaluated passageways/doors in the museum available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
• The cash desk is 110 cm high.

Exhibition

• Seating is available in the exhibition.
• The exhibits are predominately visible when seated and the information is predominately readable when seated.
• The mine adit on level -3 is partly not easy to drive on, there are also several gradients.
• Guided tours for people with walking impairments and wheelchair users are offered. A reservation in advance is necessary.
• Mobile or fixed seats are available, which may be used during the guided tour.
• The entire route of the guided tour is steplessly accessible.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (men's toilet)

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin 150 cm x 140 cm;
  left of the toilet 55 cm x 56 cm, no manoeuvring space on the right.
• There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the left of the toilet can be flipped-up.
• The sink has limited access.
• An alarm trigger is available.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (ladies toilet)

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of the door and the washbasin 120 cm x 200 cm;
  in front of the toilet 154 cm x 145 cm;
  right of the toilet 76 cm x 56 cm, no manoeuvring space on the left.
• There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
• The sink has limited access.
• An alarm trigger is available.
