Duo Duor stands for extraordinary tonal diversity, technical brilliance and stylistic openness. Harpist Hila Ofek and saxophonist Andre Tsirlin have been performing together on international stages for over a decade. The unusual combination of harp and saxophone, together with the actor and narrator, forms the tonal framework for a musical and literary experience of a special kind. Works by Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach and Antonín Dvořák meet traditional klezmer melodies and festive Hanukkah songs, among others. Markus Fennert reads touching, sometimes thoughtful, sometimes humorous texts by Charles Dickens, Tereska Torres Levin, Erwin Strittmatter, Wolfgang Borchert and Hans Dieter Hüsch.

The result is an evening that goes beyond the purely musical: an atmospheric dialogue between sound and word, between classical music, world music and the art of storytelling – festive, subtle and full of human warmth.
