After the museum visit, it's off underground. A guided tour into the 32 metre deep lava cellar takes you into the fascinating past world of basalt mining. A special highlight are the numerous bats that are currently hibernating here.

Tickets for our public tours of the lava cellar are only available on site, as a day guest at the Lava Dome Museum.
