The highlight of the hike are the oldest volcanoes in the region, which stand out as landmarks of the Wittlich depression on the southern edge of the Volcanic Eifel. We start in the district of Neuerburg and climb the Neuerburger Kopf. Passing meadows and Lüxekopf, we head "Auf Höchst", where we enjoy a refreshment stop with a view of the Moselle mountains. Through the town forest, along the ponds, we reach the Bauer & Bauer distillery, where regional delicacies await us.
