On the upcoming August 15, 2025, the Abbey of Maria Laach celebrates its patronage, the feast day of the church, with the major feast of the Assumption of Mary into heaven.With this major feast, the traditional Laacher Festival week begins, lasting until the Feast of the Consecration of the Church on August 24, 2025. The solemn High Mass for the patronage starts at 10:00 AM and will be accompanied by the Cappella Lacensis under the direction of Brother Jonas Hilger OSB.


On August 16, 2025, as part of the RheinVokal Festival, the festival concert of the Cappella Lacensis will take place at 7:00 PM.
Tickets are available at www.rheinvokal.de. The choir will perform Handel's Messiah
in the arrangement by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, accompanied by the Kammerphilharmonie Europa.

On August 22, 2025, the Abbey organist will perform an organ concert as part of the Laacher Organ Concert series. The concert starts at 7:00 PM, and admission is free.

The festival week will end with the church consecration festival on August 24, 2025. The solemn mass will start at 9:00 AM, and the monks will sing the evening prayer for the church consecration
at 5:30 PM. Further information is always available at www.maria-laach.de.

    Konzertreihe Mit der Gambe durch die Eifel

    Üxheim

    Extraordinary event series "With the Viol through the Eifel" - Early music in 11 churches and chapels of the Eifel with concerts, theater, and guided tours. On Friday, October 10th at 7 PM, the viol will find its fortune on the Eifelsteig with the King's Organ in St. Leodegar in Niederehe. Christoph Frommen is an organ expert who has often set up his microphones here for his organ recordings for the Aeolus label. He will report on this and also on the peculiarities of the Eifel organs. In particular, he will honor the oldest organ in Rhineland-Palatinate, which will resonate with viol music from the early Baroque period. The event in Niederehe is organized in cooperation with the Niedereh organ concerts and supported by KSK-Vulkaneifel. Tickets for the events are available at the entrance on the day of the event – always as long as the seating capacity lasts. Reservations are not possible. The ticket price is 20 euros (reduced 15 €).
