Kurhaus
Theater performance by the Grenzlandtheater Aachen in the Kurhaus Gemünd.
Play by Lutz Hübner and Sarah Nemitz, performed by Grenzlandtheater Aachen.
During the hot phase of his election campaign for the office of Lord Mayor, of all times, Ministerial Director Heiko Braubach gets into a traffic accident. In the middle of the station district, he hits a young man so hard that he will be confined to a wheelchair forever. Braubach, who - according to the police investigation - is not at fault, nevertheless offers to help the mother of the man who was hit. He promises her that he will personally take care of the rehabilitation program and a training place for the young man. The mother, a geriatric nurse by profession who has to turn over every penny twice, initially reacts reservedly to Braubach's advances. Over time, however, she noticeably thaws in the face of Braubach's honest concern and generous offers of help. Everything seems to be heading in the right direction when the seriously injured boy's cousin Jerome suddenly turns up.
It is clear to him that Braubach has only turned up to prevent the whole story from turning against him in the election campaign. And so Jerome sees his chance to blackmail Braubach. But he has not reckoned with the ripped-off politician.
