Forever young: Toccata

In a varied program, Andreas Rothkopf presents the ever-youthful genre of "Toccata" with a journey through the centuries. Works by J.S. Bach, Frescobaldi, Messiaen, Muffat, Schmidt, and Sweelinck will be performed. The piano suite "Le Tombeau de Couperin" by Maurice Ravel, with its fiery final toccata, has been transcribed for organ by Andreas Rothkopf.
In May 2018, his organ transcription of the B minor sonata by Franz Liszt was published by Schott. Over a total of 16 concerts from January 2018 to June 2019, he performed the complete organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach.
