Menzel Mutzke's warm and powerful trumpet meets Jason Seizer's expressive and sensitive tenor saxophone. The sound foundation is provided by up-and-coming double bassist Tabea Kind and established drummer Fabian Arends. The deliberate omission of harmony instruments brings melodic two-part harmonies and rhythmic elements to the fore and creates additional space for spontaneity.

In addition to original compositions, the ensemble's repertoire also includes pieces by Thelonious Monk and Lee Konitz.
