Summer of reading in the Wittlich town and district library from 23 June to 24 August 2025

The Wittlich town and district library invites all children and young people aged 6 - 16 to take part in the summer reading programme. With the club card, which is available after registration at the library, you can borrow and read your own favourites from the large pool of current summer reading books. When you return the books, you must ‘prove’ in a short conversation or with a written book check that you have really read them.
In addition to the ‘normal’ summer reading programme, the Wittlich City and District Supplementary Library is the only library in Rhineland-Palatinate to offer the ‘English Summer Reading Club’ Reading and written book checks in English offer a great opportunity for young people to further develop their language skills. Whether in English or German, every year the summer reading programme manages to get children and young people excited about the fantastic, funny, adventurous, exciting and thought-provoking texts and improve their own reading skills in the process.

Thanks to the financial support of the City of Wittlich Foundation, Sparkasse Mittelmosel EMH and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, many cutting-edge books will once again be available in 2025.
