Welcome to the Kaulenbach Valley – a place where history, nature, and digitalization connect in a fascinating way.

On October 12, 2025, it will finally happen: the Digital Trail in the Kaulenbach Valley will be solemnly opened.

The Kaulenbach Valley, once one of the most important slate mining areas in the left bank of the Rhine, uniquely combines history, nature, and digitalization today. With the Digi-Trail, you can experience exciting insights into the mining history and the fascinating nature of the valley on a roughly 4-kilometer hike at 12 interactive stations – all conveniently through an app on your smartphone, which works even without a cellular network thanks to GPS.

Program Schedule:

• 10:00 AM: Guided Star Hike from Laubach (Hotel Eifelperle), Müllenbach (Community Center), and Leienkaul (Community Center)
• 11:00 AM: Morning Pint with musical entertainment
• 12:00 PM: Official Opening with greetings from the honored guests and Trumpet Solo by Alexander Kaiser
• 1:00 PM: Grill Lunch and Children's Program: Show with juggling and acrobatics, balloon artist, and face painting
• 2:30 PM: Coffee & Cake with musical entertainment
