Fully accessible discovery exhibition ‘Dreams of the wilderness’

With the opening of the Eifel National Park Centre in the late summer of 2016, the North Eifel has gained a unique attraction. At the historic Vogelsang site, the Centre presents ‘Dreams of the wilderness’ – an interactive discovery exhibition for all. The exhibition allows visitors to experience the special features of Eifel National Park and the fascination of natural processes. As part of the Forum Vogelsang IP international meeting place and educational centre, the permanent fully accessible, multilingual exhibition, covering 2,000 m², inspires discovery and wonder, participation and dreams.

“Biological diversity” is the key message and central theme of the exhibition. The focus extends from special features of Eifel National Park to international challenges of nature conservation. In an entertaining way, the exhibition conveys an appreciation of nature, and reminds us of our shared responsibility for its global preservation.

The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closing at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve).
At 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays the National Park Centre offers a guided discovery tour of the ‘Dreams of the wilderness’ exhibition. Additional offerings and programmes (in various languages) are available for groups and school classes upon request, as well as via the website: www.nationalparkzentrum-eifel.de.
