The parking lot by the tennis courts in Kerpen is the starting point of the approximately 11 km long hike. The route passes by Kerpen Castle and through a meadow landscape to Niederehe. The return trip goes through Loogh back to Kerpen, where the fringed gentian can be admired. The fare from/to Gerolstein is 3 € per person. Please plan for your own backpack refreshments. The parking lot near the tennis courts Kerpen is the starting point of the approximately 11 km long circular hike that takes us past Kerpen Castle and the grave of the Eifel painter Fritz von Wille. We continue through an open meadow landscape. Along the Nollenbach and over a disused railway line, we hike to Niederehe. There, a steep climb begins through the NSG Hönselberg. The nature and wonderful views make up for the sweaty ascent. We continue via Loogh towards Kerpen. In the final section, we can admire the deep blue fringed gentian.

The cost for the carpool fee from/to Gerolstein is 3 € per person. Please plan for your own backpack provisions.
